Meet The Esteems

Luke Ashmore, Guitarist, of The Esteems

Luke Ashmore, Guitarist (he/him)

Luke “Robert” Ashmore delivers punchy lines, driven from his trusty Fender Stratocaster. When he isn’t playing shows, Luke enjoys selling insurance, watching the OSU Buckeyes, and hanging out with his dog, Gus.

Luke’s favorite song at the moment: “Marinade” by DOPE LEMON

Evan Franchi, Keys and Vocals (he/him)

Evan’s a master of the keys (check out his side project, Van Christopher) and background vocals. Outside of music, Evan enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter.

Evan’s favorite song at the moment: “Bed Head” by Manchester Orchestra

Michael Robenalt, Drums (he/him)

Michael plays the drums - setting the tempo for the songs (usually too fast), tearing down gear after the set (usually too slow), and hanging around while the other bands play (usually just the right amount of time). In his free time, Michael teaches himself how to play every instrument ever created.

Michael’s favorite song at the moment: “Step on Me” by Hydrone

Jon Reeb, Bass (he/him)

Jon was initially the first bassist for The Esteems before taking a brief hiatus to pursue a new career path. He brings a low melodic and subsonic texture to the group. In his free time, Jon enjoys spending time with his wife and dog/Esteems mascot, Ruby. If you’re buying Jon a beer, you better make it Miller Lite.

Jon’s favorite song at the moment: “Nothing Feels Natural” by Priests

Jessie Roman, Guitar & Lead Singer (she/her)

Jessie is the lead singer of The Esteems - often times sending an absurd amount of song ideas through voice memos at inopportune times. Outside of The Esteems, Jessie enjoys watching soccer, hanging out with her sister’s dog, and attending live shows.

Jessie’s favorite song at the moment: “One That Got Away” by MUNA
